Ronald Lee Ely , age 71, passed away peacefully October 31, 2023 at Grandview Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on July 20, 1952 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Marnell Lee, and Ethel Joyce (Hinkle) Ely. He was the oldest of seven children and a 1971 graduate of West Carrollton high school. Ron was a baptized Jehovah witness and  attended the North Dayton congregation. He worked at a Paper-mill for many years until the company went under,, then he worked for Art Parton trucking until he latter retired. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and  CB radios in his free time. Ron was also a member of the chapter F Goldwing Riders Association where he was a ride educator, and served as the chapter Director from 2015 to 2018. 
Ron is preceded in death by his parents Marnell Lee and Ethel Joyce Ely, Two Brothers, Lawerence Ely and James Ely. He is survived by his son, Shawn (Marilyn) Ely. Daughter Kimberly (Darius) Dennis. Grandchildren Jasmine, Tevin, Caitlin, Clayton, Siara, Deanna, Jonny, Autumn, and April; and four great-grandchildren. Brother: Timothy, Robert “Bobby”,  Lawerence “Spider”  Sister, Diana (Dennis) Falh, and a host of nieces , nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will start promptly at 4pm on Saturday 11/25/23 at The Kingdom Hall 1161 Bartley Road. Dayton , Ohio 45414.  Flowers can be sent to the Kingdom Hall on Bartley Road.
