I remember when we went to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter to pick out a dog. Ron's attention immediately went to Zeke and although we were the second on the list, we had hoped that fate would interviene and we would be able to take Zeke home.

I remember that Ron was so taken by Zeke that he visited the shelter for 4-5 days in a row so that he could take Zeke for a walk. Soon after however, Ron became ill and needed to be hosptialized. I remember the look on his face the day I was to take him home~we were chosen to take Zeke home with us.

Ron quickly referred to Zeke as "his furry son" and thus began a love story between a man and his dog.       

Zeke still lives with me now... and its rough because I am such a softie. Ron did teach him to be obedient, so the only thing I need to do now is keep him out of the cat food!
