His Life
May 30, 2012

Ronald Lee Mattson was born on March 8, 1939 in Sparta, Wisconsin, and passed ad astra surrounded by his loving family the day God wrapped his arms around him on May 13, 2012.

Ronald spent his childhood on the farmland and at the age of 17, he enlisted in the US Navy. He proudly fought in the Vietnam War and served his country for 20 years.  Ronald was stationed from place to place; and, when he was stationed in Subic Bay, Philippines, he met his wife-to-be, Mercy.  They married on May 13, 1974 in Zambales, PI, with the presence of her 4 children, which he adopted shortly.  Years later, Ronald and Mercy had 2 children of their own, Chris (1982) and Brian (1985).  After retiring from the Navy, he worked for many years at Westinghouse and Northrop Grumman.

Ronald enjoyed fishing and was also a gun collector.  He also enjoyed watching the show Two and a Half Men starring Charlie Sheen. As much as he enjoyed those things, he also admired the presence of his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his best friend, Pacquiao (a Chihuahua).

He leaves to cherish his memory; his long time companion & wife (Mercy), children (Chris, Brian, Jun & Grace, Josie, Nelly, and daughter-in-law, May), grandchildren (Charmaine & Eric, Reyanne & Ryan, Jumel, Nicole, Marjolyn, Juvir, Jovita, Jonathan, and Joanne), great-grandchildren (AJ and Adrian), father (Walter), and siblings (Stanley, Jerrilyn, and Bruce).

He follows to heaven to reunite; his beloved Mother (Margaret), his precious daughter (Margaret), his loving son (Richard), and son-in-law (Mario).
