Rondie Ray Meachem was a precious gift  born to Sammie Meachem and Francis Williams on April 10, 1957, in San Francisco, CA.  He was the 5th child. A loving and caring son and brother,  Rondie was close to his family and loved spending time with them.
Rondie attended school at Woodrow Wilson High School and graduated in 1974. As a child he proved to be gifted in art. He graduated from high school early to join the army.
Rondie served in the US Army for six years. He served four of those years in Germany and traveled the world. Rondie became an Infantryman and qualified for a badge in marksmanship with the M16.
In 1992 Rondie met the lovely Karina Ann Henderson in Oakland, CA.
Karen, a designer and seamstress of haute couture, and a milliner, met Rondie when they both attended the Grand Avenue SDA church in Oakland, CA. Rondie was quickly smitten by Karen and she quickly fell for his good looks, charm and sense-of-humor. So it was that on April 25, 1993 the happy couple were married in Oakland, CA.
Rondie and Karen first made their home in Hayward, CA, then later moved to Oakland where they lived for several years.
On April 21, 1994 the Meachem's were blessed with a jewel which they named Raven Adia Meachem. On June 15, 1996 another gem was added to the Meachem household and was named Josiah Azariah Meachem.
Rondie was employed with the Waste Management Company in Oakland, CA for over 20 and was a proud member of Teamsters Local # 70.
Because of his friendly disposition, Rondie easily made many friends everywhere and especially at work. He spent much of his free time with these friends until his marriage to Karen and becoming a father. Then much of his time was spent with the family he loved very much.
In  2007  Rondie retired and moved his family  to Peyton, CO where he retired and started a new journey in his life.
Rondie was an avid reader and loved fishing. He also loved to garden, growing his own vegetables
