Ronnie was born in East Peoria, IL, the son of Thomas B. and Margaret D. Crebo.  He was their second son.  Their first son, Robert T., died before Ronnie was born.

He married Agnes Faye Crebo on June 14, 1953, in Peoria, IL.  They raised four children together:  three sons, Danny, Randy, and Ricky, and one daughter, Janice.

They lived in East Peoria, Creve Couer and Washington all throughout their lives.

Ron worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company in East Peoria. for the majority of his career and retired after about 45 years of service.

He also had three other siblings:  William, Kenneth, and Donna Lou.  Kenneth preceded him in death as well as Robert.
