His Life

Minister Roberts was born in Sharpsburg, Georgia on August 17, 1954 to the late Mr. Charlie Roberts and Leslie Glass.

He graduated in the Class of "69" of Central High School. He served as a Marine in the United States Military in 1976. He joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at an early age, late years Sword of the Lord and Changing Your World Day Church.

Roosevelt was a man made of many flaws but a unique individual that spreads the Word of God through street ministry and witness to anyone he knew needed the Lord. Through difficult and unpleasant times he had the ability to make you smile, cry, laugh and devote their time to overcome the adversity of life.

In his absence, he leave a vivid legacy. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Edward, Aaron and Roger Lee Bolton; Mother, Leslie Glass; Father, Charlie Roberts; Son, Roosevelt Hill Roberts, Jr.

And to cherish his memories: His faithful and devoted wife, Pastor Rosa Roberts; his children, Lamarcus and Demarcus Darden, Charles Render and Robert Menefee (adoped son); step-children, Minister Tangela Reese, Shalana Reese and Melvin Reese of Newnan, GA; six sisters, Shirley (Stanley) Sinkfield, Annette Roberts, Carolyn Hall, Wyvonne Rakestraw, Sonya Jackson and Michelle Glass all of Newnan, GA; brother, Dock Grady (Onice) McCauley; one aunt; eight grandkids; special friend and brother/roommate, "Benny King"; host of nieces, nephews cousins, in-laws and friends.
