I was a Sergeant of Dale's at one time while he was on the Richmond Police Department. He was an outstanding officer and performed his duties exceptionally. When Dale transferred into the Traffic Unit, again, he displayed his exceptional qualities and became an excellent crash investigator. Dale was a great officer who truly love his position as a police officer and he was a good friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. May Dale's wife, Rosa, and their family find comfort in the knowledge that he was loved by all. Rest in peace and in the loving arms of God my Brother.

Dale met me(Rosa ) in 1980. He told me he prayed God would send him an Indian girl. When I told him I was part Cherokee, his eyes lighted up and he said God answered my prayers, We have been married 39 years ,in Nov it would have been 40. We were blessed with 2 children and 5 Grandkids.I miss him so much, his laugh, his smile, his humor, but most of all his love.
