Mrs. Rosa S. Ford, 82 year old resident of West Point, died Monday, April 25, 2011, at her residence.

Mrs. Ford was born in Kempten, Germany, on Friday, October 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Jakob and Thekla Ederer Spegel. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, West Point Women’s Club and the George H. Lanier Hospital Auxiliary.

Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert W. Ford. She is survived by 2 daughters: Teena Ford Culpepper (Harold) of Hamilton, Georgia and Patricia Ford of West Point, Georgia; 2 sisters: Anny Haefele (Karl) and Elizabeth Horn (Martin) all of Germany; 2 brothers: Alfred Spegel (Berta) of Germany and Hermann Spegel of Willow, Alaska; 2 grandchildren: Keith Culpepper (Deanne) and Laura Johnson (Kevin) all of Hamilton, Georgia; great grandchildren; Taylor, Wesley and Justin; many wonderful nieces and nephews and so many good friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa S. Ford will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 11:00 AM EDT from the graveside in Marseilles Cemetery. Deacon Don Canonica will officiate.
The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 5::PM EDT until 7:00 PM EDT at McCarthy Funeral Home.
