Rosa Pearl Riggan Hutson, 94, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Thursday, October 13th at Granville Medical Center.
A native of Granville County, the widow of Cephas Hutson and the daughter of the late Cuff and Cornelia Williamson Riggan. She was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist church and was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 15th at Grassy Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Woodrow Freeze III. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Surviving are her daughter Mary Hutson Boyd of Bullock, two sons, James Taylor Hutson of Stovall, Curtis Wayne Hutson of Bullock, two sisters, Mary Sizemore of Oxford, Lucille Sadler of Dinwiddie, Va., fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Weary, Dora Lee Wells and Addie Belle Cash and a granddaughter, Debra Lynn Dowden.
Visitation 7:00-8:30 PM Friday, October 14th at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other time at the home.
