Remembering a formidable Mother - one year on! It seems that it was just yesterday you and I were planning your birthday party; the one you didn't attend!
The void you've left in my heart and the entire family can never be replaced. You bowed out when it was time to celebrate you and you alone. Gobsmacked really, will probably be for a long time. But as someone reminded me yesterday, only the Holy Spirit can grant us the strength to accept your passing in the way that it happened. We don't know why or what happened but only the One who created you in all your grace and beauty knows.
Rest in peace, Mum.

Some people enter a place and exit without anyone taking notice, while some others leave a great vacuum as a result of the great impact they made before leaving the scene. You belong to the second group and will be missed but will ever live in the hearts of all those who were privileged to have known you. Rest in the Lord.
