A GLORIOUS TRIBUTE TO A FULFILLED ICONIC CHAMPION!!!

Psalms 116:15 says "Precious in the sight of the Lord, is the death of His saints". There is no doubt that Mama died as a saint in Christ Jesus. I, the first son personally ministered salvation message to her, subsequently led her to Christ, as she received Him in her heart when she confessed Him openly with mouth as her personal Lord and saviour .Therefore she  became a born again believer. She received the Holy Ghost baptism during one of TSECN revival programs. Our mother prepared for her death very well. She told us that she has paid all her financial levies in the church, in case she dies she is not owing the church. She said that if she dies today, she is fully fulfilled that God has done for her family more than what she expected in life. What the Angel told her about her first son- Pastor Blessed Chinedu Okebaram [The Global Oceanic Apostle] of his international apostolic messianic assignment/exploits have come to fulfillment. And the prophetic words his son -Pastor Blessed Chinedu told her when they were suffering seriously in Umuderim have come to fulfillment too. She then said ," If am alive and God has fulfilled His promises to my family like this, what greater fulfillment will be when i die?" The revelation of her death came to her, to us her family and to the wife of General Superintendent of The Saviour's Evangelical Church Nigeria [TSECN]- Deaconess Chukwuocha in a unique way.
Deaconess Rose Chinenyeoku Ononeze, alias Ogbom , nee [Uzuegbu of Umualumaku] was born to the family of Late Nze&Lolo Damian Uzuegbu Amaechi of Umuoparalum Umualumaku in Ehime/Mbano L.G.A Imo State.  She was the 3rd child and the last born of the family among three siblings, survived by her senior brother Sir Benjamin C. Uzuegbu [KSJ]. She was married to Late Mr. Matthias Aghaziem Sunday Ononeze alias Okpokpo. She was born on 5th August,1936 [75 years ago] at Port Harcourt, Rivers State. As the normal norm then, the family paid attention to train her ONLY brother, because women were considered helpers to their mothers in the art of  trade, commerce and farm work. So, she could not go to the primary school at early age. It was when her senior brother finished his own schooling and started working, that he graciously sent her to obtain primary school education at Holy Rosary Primary School Umualumaku/Umueze.  Her father and brother were living at Port Harcourt at that time, while she was helping out and living with her mother in the village-Umualumaku.  She finished her STANDARD SIX education with a good grade as a full fledged adult lady in 1960.
She proceeded from there to join the Nigerian Police force recruitment in Umuahia, because she was a lion-hearted lady, very courageous, tall in height , fair in complexion and too beautiful to behold.  When the force recruitment could not work out, she went to live with her senior brother- Sir Ben Uzuegbu at Enugu where they lived at numbers 26 and 34 Robinson Street, Uwani Enugu. He was working at the Judiciary Enugu.  The brother later paid for her to learn fashion designing which was called sewing at that time. She graduated with excellent character and learning. His senior brother bought a brand new sewing machine for her, which she cherished dearly till her death.    Moreover, her late mother Madam Anna Uzuegbu taught her the art of trading and commerce very well. Two of them were involved in farming, buying and selling of products for years. She also practiced her fashion designing business.     However, in 1966 , she went to Port Harcourt to live with senior sister's family- Late Mr Linus and Mrs Catherine Korie [from Umuelemaku ,Umuderim]. This time her senior brother gained admission to study Law at University of Ife. In a twist of events of destiny, it was in the Korie's family at Port Harcourt that her late Husband Mr Matthias A.S. Ononeze set eyes on her for the first time. He approached her for a marital relationship, she was resisting his offer, but through the convincing power of  late Engr Richard Mgbeahurike alias Bekee of Umuderim, who was also the age mate of Mr Matthias, Madam Rose agreed to marry her husband.     However, as the Nigerian civil war unrest broke out in 1966.  The igbo extracts resident in Port Harcourt ran back home to igboland.  So, the Korie's family ran home to Umuderim. At this time in question, his senior brother has stopped his University education at Ife because of the war.  And being the ONLY SON who wanted to marry then, he was hidden somewhere to avoid the Biafran soldiers conscripting him into the Army war front. In that event, it was this Young Lady Rose Chinenyeoku who became the bread winner of the Uzuegbu family, trekking to many markets in Eastern Nigeria like Atani, Onitsha , Umuahia, Nzerem ,Umuezeala Ehime, Ogbor, Eke Ikpa and Orieagu, to mention but a few.  She worked so hard to the commendation of many kinsfolk of her time.  At this juncture, her husband began a serious move seeking her hands in marriage. And two of them got married after contentions on denominational differences which Uzuegbu family refuted.                                                      Their marriage is blessed with three [3] children- 1. Pastor Blessed Chinedu Okebaram Ononeze [whom the angel revealed to her that he will be a saviour {meaning a deliverer} in the world].   2. Deaconess Comfort Nwakaego Okeke[ whose husband lives at California USA].  3. Mr Nelson Chinatu Ononeze [IMSU Graduate, just finished his NYSC service at Uyo Akwa Ibom].  When she got married, things were not rosy at all. She began to sew clothes for people and also sell some articles.  As the family financial  pressure increased, being a FULLY TRAINED WARRIOR and SKILLFUL TRADER ,she ventured into the trading of stockfish from 1980 to 1983 and was very prosperous in that business. When the Austerity measure adopted by President Shagari led government, bound the importation of stockfish from Norway.  It was during this financial crisis time that his first son- Pastor Blessed Chinedu returned from Enugu and gained admission into Madonna High School Amuzu Amakohia. No money for school bills, things were very difficult. However, she has vowed that as long as she is alive , her three [3] children must be educated.   So, in order to actualise this her dream, she switched over to sell crayfish for a while, and when it was not profitable anymore, she approached MADAM CECILIA OKAFOR from Umuderim, who kindly took her along to  Jos Plateau state, where she was an oil and produce merchant.  Our mother served Madam Cecilia very well and therefore she opened her heart to teach our mother the secret art of Jos market trading. She was jumping from one 911 truck to the other.  Being a very sharp minded visionary woman, she found out that the oil trading is a masculine business, very tasking indeed, so she diverted into fruits/vegetables produce purchase. She would go into the bush to buy trees of Oranges, pears, pawpaw et cetera, and extracts their fruits for sale at Jos. She bought different types of vegetables for sale. She traces hinterland local markets to buy fruits and vegetables, and transports them to Jos ,Plateau State and in return she would buy tomatoes, pepper, onions et cetera to distribute in wholesale and in retails . Every four days of the week she was on the road for trading ,in harsh Jos climatic harmattan winter cold and summer heat. It is noteworthy that despite her sufferings, her benevolent compassionate heart motivated her to give some poor widows some baskets of tomatoes, peppers etc to sale and use the proceeds to feed their children.  She made sure her three [3] children did not lack basic human needs.
