Mom, is the daughter of Rose and Carmello Spadaro, sister to Antionette, Carmello, Tony, Joie, Josie, Angie and Millie.   As you can see they were a large family.  Both of her parents came over from Italy, and worked hard all of their lives to make a good life for their family.   Like many of the family members, Mom went to work to help the family, and she took a job at what was called the Five and Dime...where..she met...my father Joe.  As the story was told to me....my Mother was working behind the counter, and my Dad would come into the store and just "hang out" and watch the pretty girl working behind the counter.  Mom used to ask, "Who is that guy?"...and was taken by the fact that he just seemed so convinced she was going to go out with him.  He once asked her to come out so he could see her legs...now doesn't that sound just like my Dad?  (haha)  Well, needless to say...they had their first shaparoned date, and the relationship grew from there.  Dad went off to fight in the war to Burma, he wrote Mom all the time...and proposed.  They got married in New York, and moved to California where my father and her would work and Mom became a part of the Moreno family that embraced her with open arms...and she became their loved and respected sister. 
   A couple of years later I was born, and then five years later...Rhonda was born.  We all lived in San Francisco and kept close ties with family and amazing friends...like the Moura''s, Dimech's and so many more.   As the years passed, and Rhonda and I both lost our husbands, Rich and Mike, Mom was saddened by the loss of the two young men that adored their daughters, and cherished the grandchildren and great-grandchildren from Rhonda's family.   To Mom...nothing was more important to her than her girls....and her family as a whole.  Yes...she does live on in us forever...and yes....she is terribly missed.   God Bless You my Mom...I Love You.  I know you are watching out for me from Heaven.
