BIOGRAPHY

Late Madam Rose Titi Ochiobi was born in Mbaraogbom Umuakwu- Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North Abia State on 24th July 1935 to Mr. Reuben Ogbonna Udugwu, a farmer and Madam Janet, a trader. She was the third child and Second daughter of the Seven children of her mother. Her Father and mother died in early 70’s.

Educational Pursuit

Mama did not complete her Formal Education but rather chose to assist her Father in the farm in order to raise money for the training of her other siblings.

This huge sacrifice for the family made her the most loved in the family, none of her siblings’ toil with her welfare. Though mama did not see the four corners of the university, mama was naturally intelligent and knows her onus.

Marital Life

Mama got married to Late Chief Israel Ochiobi in 1953 and did church wedding same year at St. Paul Catholic Church Umuezu. Her Husband, Chief Israel Ochiobi died in 2004. The Marriage was a flourishing one till Satan came in to try her as he did to Job. The union was blessed initially with four sons and one daughter. Unfortunately, four of the Sons died mysteriously, and she was left with only one daughter. Then panic and uncertainty engrossed the once blissful marriage which later led her Husband to take a second wife. But in all this situation mama only wept and kept hope in God.

Christian life

Mama was born into an Anglican Family and married into a Roman catholic family and was a devoted member of catholic till the mysterious death of her sons. During this appalling period mama took a break and went back to her parents’ house. Grandma had a revelation and took mama to Apostolic Christian Church Mission (ACCM) Umuakwu where she was prayed for and advised to go back to her Husband. Mama obeyed the divine instruction and came back to her husband, and behold he took in and bare a son. She named him Odoemelam (meaning- Let it not happen to me again), and it was so as mama had other 3 Sons afterwards that are alive till today. After this divine encounter, mama became a devoted member of the Apostolic Christian Church Mission Umuezu till her old age when she was not able to walk to church again. Even at home, mama prays regularly and maintain her Christian virtue till her last breath.

Lifestyle in General

Mama was a loving and easy going somebody, always willing to accept blame to make peace reign. Mama is contended with what is available to her and she never look down on anybody. She could walk long distances without exhaustion.

Mama took ill on 20th April 2009 where no one believed she would pull through. After the doctors failed to revive her, she was taken to that same Apostolic church at her home town Umuakwu- Nsulu where she was divinely healed again. No body believed she could walk with her legs again, but alas, God did it and made her whole, no part of her body was paralyzed, mama walk with her legs and stayed with her children at Lagos for 4 years before returning home. Mama managed her old age till that fateful day she gave up the ghost.

She is survived by 5 children, 10 grandchildren, Sister, nieces and nephews.
