Roseann Schulz of Vineland and Washington Township, NJ passed away on December 14, 2023 surrounded by her family and close friends. She was predeceased by her late husband Donald Schulz Jr., her soulmate whom she was happily married to for 32 years, her mother Helen May Clipner, stepfather Frederick O’connor, and father Joseph Ronald Bevilacqua.
She was a nurturing, loving, and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her good nature warmed the heart of everyone she encountered. She truly is an unforgettable soul.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Angelina and Brian McCurdy, daughter Anna May Bourque and son-in-law Kris Bourque, daughter Amy Schulz, son Donald Schulz IV and daughter-in-law Amy Dilks. She is also survived by her brothers Robert Bevilacqua, George Talbot, Louis Talbot, Steven Talbot and siblings Brenda, Junior, and Vanessa. She is survived by her many grandchildren Julia, Kobe, Leevi, Shy, Eli, Melyi, Breanna (Dooda), Jayla, Jase, Kellan, and Bella. Her memory will also survive through her best friends Debbie Sowers and Granny. She will be greatly missed by her grand-dogs Rhino, Rosie Jalapeno, Frankie McGoober Bourque, and Fisher.
If she had a theme song “Joker” by the Steve Miller Band would have said it all about her easy-going nature. Aside from spoiling all the grand-dogs, she never hesitated to help where she could and she loved family gatherings with lots of laughter and good food. Frequently she was the lead of the clean-up crew. You’d have to watch though she’d tried to save any leftover butter containers or jars just because and we all knew she was a bit of a hoarder in that way. She often made-up funny words without even knowing it like “hors-devors”, “too-sami”, and “archives” until her kids or grandkids would point out the obvious. Her youngest daughter would always chime in that she got these words from “Weymouth Road” university and everyone including mom would break out in laughter.
She called all the grandkids “pumpkin”. She had nicknames like “mam-mom” from Kobe, “Roe Roe” from all the rest, and the infamous “Edna” from her favorite late nephew Victor Schulz Jr.
She enjoyed Wednesday night bingo with her best friends and others at the Laurel Lake Firehouse. She spent countless weekends watching her youngest adult children play softball in Millville and there made many good friends. Roe Roe’s extended family stretched far and wide because she was so easy to love.
She will be greatly missed by all her nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends, and family.
Her children wish to extend their love and gratitude to all friends and family, as well as, Cooper University Hospital and Jefferson Health East for their care during our mother’s last months and to Bob Fertig at Fertig Funeral Home for his services. She is so loved and will be so very missed.
