Fifty years today. But I remember it like it was yesterday.

As a 17 year old kid, I didn't realize how my life was going to change. Roselan's physical death pretty much changed everything for me.

But I now know that she is home and safe. I love her still. And she loves me. We will be together forever. I am ready to go home.

Fifty years ago this month (June, 1967) I saw a Volkswagon pull up by the softball field. Out stepped the most beautiful girl I had ever seen in my life. We immediately became friends, then best friends, and then . . . We had 3 1/2 years together on this earth. And we have forever together. She is my first love. She is my first kiss. And she is my forever love. I love you, Roselan. Always have; always will. This month I choose to celebrate our 50th anniversary!

67 years ago today you made your entry into this world. I am so glad you did. And I am very thankful for the time we spent together. I can hardly wait until I rejoin you in our new home. I love you, my forever love.

It was 45 years ago today that I had to let you go. My life has never been the same. I love you more with each passing day. I can hardly wait for our reunion! As the song says, "I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance." I am very thankful that the Lord brought us together. Even though the pain has been terrible, I'm glad we got to share "the dance." You are still the love of my life.

65 years ago today, the Lord blessed this earth with a beautiful baby girl. She grew into a wonderful young lady. And my life has never been the same.

Roselan was a childhood classmate.  No sweeter person ever lived. Thanks for the chance to remember her this way.
