Rose Marie Breighner was born September 18, 1958, in Hempstead, New York to Louis and Ruth Carmen-Lindner. A resident of Okeechobee for six years, she loved spending time with friends and family. She enjoyed fun at the casino with her husband and best friends, spending time with her grandchildren and having family game nights.

Mrs. Breighner was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Uriah and great granddaughter, Caroline Rose Breighner.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, John D. Breighner, Sr., of Okeechobee; sons, John D. Breighner, Jr. (Gissella), of Pompano Beach, Stephanie Johnson (Sean), of Okeechobee, Rick Breighner (Angela), of Miami Gardens, and David Breighner (Elizabeth), of Oakland Park; seven grandchildren(John D Breighner ,III. , Mark, Shyann, Kaylie, Ricky, Nathan, Abigail and Rose); four great grandchildren(Blake, Athena, Arianna and Caroline who proceeds her in death); two adopted daughters, Danielle Carter and Monica Carter and adopted grandchildren of both sisters and Brittany Smith; brothers, Louis Lindner, of Tennessee, Richard Lindner, of North Carolina, and Mike Lindner, of Tennessee and step brother Jim Lovett of Tennessee. All who she loved to so dearly.

Rose’s service was at 2 p.m. on a Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home.
