Rosemary Bratten passed away on March 19, 2019 in San Antonio at the age of 55. She was born August 21, 1963 in El Paso, Texas to Robert and Maria Bratten. Rosemary was the middle child and oldest daughter affectionally known as “Rose.” Growing up in the Bratten family she enjoyed family, camping and school. Her favorite school events were track, basketball and being on the swim team. She attended Burnet Elementary School, El Paso, Texas, Round Rock Middle School, Round Rock, Texas, Coke Middle School in San Antonio and graduated from John Marshall High School in San Antonio, Texas. She also attended San Antonio Community College and Our Lady of the Lake University. She was employed by Barkley Elementary School, SAISD before attending the San Antonio Community College Law Enforcement Academy. Upon graduation she received her Texas Police Officer Certification. She was then commissioned a Police Officer at Our Lady of the Lake Police Department where she rose through the ranks to the position of Chief of Police. After departing from Our Lady of the Lake she accepted a police officer position with the Edgewood School ISD District, Police Department. Rosemary enjoyed her many years in Law Enforcement but because of developing health issues decided to change careers and accepted a position with Home Depot where she was a unit supervisor.

Rosemary is survived by her loving daughter Crystal Sewell and husband Matthew, her parents Robert k and Maria Bratten, Her brother Robert K Bratten Jr. and wife Katherine, nephew Robert K Bratten III, wife BJ and sons, niece Monica Parsons, husband Bruce and sons, her sister Margaret Moore, husband Michael and Travis, uncle Jesus Loya and son.
