An Academic Par Excellence

Professor Moyana has contributed immensely to educational development at the University of Zimbabwe and in the country at large. She joined the University of Zimbabwe in 1985 as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Education. She was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 1993 and Associate Professor in 2008. She worked in various administrative capacities as Chairperson in the Department of Curriculum and Arts Education from 2003 to 2005. She became Deputy Dean of Education and also Acting Director for the Human Resources Research Centre (HRRC) from 2003 to 2010. She was the Deputy-Editor-In-Chief for Zambezia(Journal of the University of Zimbabwe) and Acting Editor-In-Chief for the Zimbabwe Journal of Educational Research (ZJER) from 2004 to 2011. From 2011 to 2015, she was Dean of Education. In 2019, she was appointed to the position of University of Zimbabwe Pro-Vice Chancellor responsible for Academic Affairs the position she held until her death.
