A TRIBUTE TO A WIFE OF SUBSTANCE

And 365 days has gone without you.
I remember all those moments we shared together.
I remember those times we called our own in all those well lived places where I now grieve alone.
And those small endearing gestures which I thought I know so well are fading as time flies with your words, your kiss, and your touch.
But then there's that moment, that time within the day when I feel you are beside me in that old familiar way.
But as I turn to see your smile or receive a tender touch, there's only a dark shadow of the one I loved so much.
And tears begin to fall in that hole of deep despair. And memories overwhelm me------more than my heart can bear as I remember your gentle grace and your love so soft but strong and purposeful.
My heart will forever miss a beat as I miss your life, your song, your smile and your delicious Ofeonugbo.

I want to rewind the clock and say how much I care, how much I cherish, and want to adore.
I want to silence the talk that you are not there to share but I smile and chat amiably to family and friends and hope they do not notice your world is at end.
