We made sure for many years after Mom and Dad passed away that we talked at least every 2 weeks, and she came to visit me every year until the last few years.

I was pleased to be the first to take her on a cruise to Alaska, which we had so much fun, went on every mode of transportation, Plane, Bus Tour in Canada, Ship to many places on our 7 night cruise, Train to Anchorage and rental car for the 5 days that we stayed there. The memories will always be with me for that 2 week adventure. On our flight back they were still serving food, and we had a wonderful breakfast with Alask Airlines. I believe that is the last time I ever got feed on a plane.

On our other adventures, we didn't always know where we were going, sometimes went to Vegas, which we both loved, and sometimes we just got into the car and took off to parts unknown with no ideas until we got someplace.

Her favorite thing to say about our trips, is, "You always find a dirt road", and the last time we did this, I found a good one that even came with a bull that began to charge us, I got out of the way really fast, however, I will never forget how we laughed about that for years.

Our time together throughout my 60 years of being on this earth will always be brighter for having this wonderful woman in my life. She was my rock, my shoulder to cry on and my Mother after losing Mom so many years ago. She will be missed.
