This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Roy David Williams who passed away unexpectedly July 28, 2017 at the age of 65 in Louisville, KY. We will remember him forever.
Roy is survived by his children, Danielle & Richard Williams, daughter in-law Melinda Doty Williams and future son in-law John Duffey. Grandchildren, Megan Ann & Violet Paige Williams. Siblings, Cynthia & John Williams. Nieces, Sarah Wilson, Samantha Green & Elizabeth (Laura) Handley and Nephew, Benjamin Peschke.
Preceded in death by his parents, W.C & Violet Williams and sister, Ruth Ellen Williams of Trenton MI.
Roy David was born November 5, 1951 in Wyandotte, MI to W.C (Waffle) Williams and Violet Elizebeth Williams.
He began working at General Motors in 1974 and retired in 2012, after 38 years of service. He worked at the GM Romulus Powertrain Plant in Romulus, Michigan and was a member of UAW Local 163. Roy dedicated his life to his job and took great pride in his last position as the Skilled Trades Committee man. He had forged strong relationships with many people and secondary family relationships that carried him through his retirement. Brotherhood and lifelong friendships with Greg Bauer, Mike Cox and Don Kemp were a few, that deserve recognition.
An Internment service is scheduled for Saturday August 12, 2017 at Michigan Memorial at 9AM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roy's life. Floral arrangments can be sent to Michigan Memorial. Condolence cards, letters can be sent to Danielle Williams at 7210 W. Orell Rd, Louisville, KY, 40272
