Roy Edward Posey, AKA, Edward, was born December 6 1957, In Union Springs Al, which he shared that birthday with his father Comer Posey, Sr. His mother Amanda Posey preceded him in death.

A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted.
Roy was raised in the community of Newtown since the age of 8 years old, where his family home and father still lives, he moved to Atlanta in the early 80's in hope to root a new life as an adult

Roy worked many different trades, but most recently masonry and carpentry, his present work detail was with laying concrete drives at the reknown campus of Emory University.

Roy passed suddenly at age 57, a day short of his 58th birthday. He left to mourn his departure his father Comer Posey, Sr, of Union Springs, AL. One brother, Comer Posey, Jr. of Atlanta, GA. Two sisters: Shellie Posey of Tampa, FL and Brenda Posey Thomas (Willie K Thomas) both of Atlanta, Ga. Nieces: Ashley Thomas (Matt), Amanda Parker (Tora), Audrey Jones (Ulysses); two nephews Zackery Thomas (Marie) all of Atlanta GA and Matthew Isaac McComb, Tampa, Fl. Aunties, uncles, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
