Roy Elvin Riley Sr. 70, a resident of 4003 Lessie Lane passed away Wednesday, February 9th at his home.
 
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Johnny Veston and Lessie Johnson Riley. He was a member of Tally Ho First Baptist Church, was employed by Yancey Trucking after 44 years of service, a devoted husband and PaPa to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, February 11th in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Tommy Robertson. Burial will be in Tally Ho Baptist Church Cemetery.
 
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Shelby “Jean” Pugh Riley of the home, a daughter, Kimberly Riley Thomasson (Russell) of Oxford, a son, Roy “Elvin” Riley Jr.(Sharon) of Roxboro, a sister, Linda R. Morris of Oxford, twin brother, Ray Melvin Riley of Stovall, Clarence W. Riley of Oxford, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruby Riley, Dorothy Suitt and Bertha West and a brother, Raymond Riley.
 
Flowers accepted or memorials can be made to Duke Hospice and Homecare, 4321 Medical Park Dr., Durham, NC 27704.
 
Visitation 7:00-8:30 PM Thursday evening , February 10th at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
