Uncle Roye was such a pleasant person to be around, always smiling, always cracking a joke. He was a very kind man with a big heart. Everyone at church knows me by Krissy but for Uncle Roye it was “Christopher” LOL. I never asked why he would call me that because I didn’t really care that was just our thing A man loved by so many who will greatly be missed by all ❤️

Roye Bent was born to Stanley Bernard- Bent and Ercy Bent on January 17th, 1952 in Top Hill, St. Elizabeth. He then moved to Kingston as a teen to live with his sister Enid Harper after which he moved to Angels Community in Spanish Town. Roye's love for cars lead to him studying at German Automotive after which he then started his own business. Roye owned multiple trucks, wreckers and cars during his time.

In 1979 he tied the knot with the love of his life, Mureen Bent nee Mattrasingh. Their marriage produced two boys Roye Dane, Jordon and the apple of his eye his daughter, Ashley. He also has a son Roje and daughter Petrena. He was a proud grandfather to nine (9) grandchildren. Roye lived a faithful and happy life. He served his community and church faithfully. Roye found grace in the eyes of The Lord. He heard his cry and called him home to be with Him.
