RUSSELL CHARLES REYHER April 16, 1929 - January 14, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Russell Charles Reyher on January 14, 2010 at 80 years of age. Russell left us peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at the Deer Lodge Centre. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 63 years Barbara  Jean  Reyher, son Ed (Sue) Reyher, sister Judy (Reese) Nielsen, daughter- in-law Rhonda Reyher, grandchildren Shawn (Tara) Reyher, Charles (Cindy) Reyher, Amanda (Paul) Fitzakerley, great-grandchildren Paige, Nathan, Brady, Dominic, Keiran, Deacon and Emerson, sister-in-law Geneva (Bob) Finley, Beverly Eckert, Kathy Bodey, Ina Eckert and Aunt Dorothy (Glenn) Keding and many nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Ruth Reyher, in-laws Edna and Earl Eckert Sr., grandparents Fletcher and Fannie Hughey, brother-in-law Earl Eckert Jr., brother Herb Reyher on November 2, 2009 and son Randy Reyher on December 12, 2009. Russell was born in Lamar, Colorado on April 16, 1929 and was schooled in McClave, Colorado. He started his business ventures with his father Charlie with the Reyher Milling Company. Russell was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Eckert on June 8, 1947 and established a home in McClave where they raised two sons Russell Edward and Randy Eugene.  Through the 50s and 60s Dad's accomplishments were many  family, farming, raising turkeys, cow and calf operations, started a feedlot, trucking line and a pellet mill. In 1968 Russell brought his family to Winnipeg to pursue farming and cattle ranching and he continued his hobby/profession of thoroughbred racehorses.  In 1976 Russell and his sons entered the manufacturing industry. Starting with woodstoves, farm equipment and then to gas fireplaces where they found great success and are known today as Kingsman Fireplaces.  Dad became a well-known and respected businessman in the manufacturing community and acquired many wonderful and close friends. Dad truly enjoyed working along with his sons and continued to work with them throughout his illness. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend that was known as Grandpa to many. He will truly be missed by all. The funeral service will be held Saturday, 23, January 2010 with a public viewing at 9:30 a.m. and the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave., ph 885-9715. The Reception will follow after the service. The Burial will take place in Wiley, Colorado Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Special thanks to the staff at Deer Lodge and Riverview for the care and compassion you showed Russell during difficult times. Flowers are gratefully declined.
