wonderful memories of Russ at the lake with us, enjoying camping/fishing and walking along the extremely low Lake Buchanan discovering treasures! Russ loved to dove hunt in Shiner, not that he got too many! I think it was more for the being with the guys. Russ you will be missed a bunch here in Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for being in our Lives. We are so much richer for your friendship, your humor, your fast cars :) !!  It was a long journey for you and now you are cancer free my friend. Your fight was a testament of your will to live to all of us. Love you, and we sure will miss you.

"Will never forget the many times that we nearly got 'kicked out' of Am.
History (Mr.Nelson) for laughing uncontrollably. And, there were the
rides, on the back road, that the tires would leave the ground and we
felt like we were on a roller-coaster!!Good memories, good high school
friend." Wish we could have re-connected at one of the get to gathers. Time runs out."

Miss you, friend, a renowned archery ace early on and just plain "ace" later! So glad to have the opportunity to refresh friendship at the 50th. Sorry to miss you finally at the Hogan! See you in the blue by and beyond!

I am so glad I had the chance to re-connect with Rusty at the 50-year class of 1965 reunion.  He was exactly as I remembered him in high-school:  genuine and gregarious.  He seemed the picture of health, and my heart goes out to his family who gave him loving care to the end, despite the shock of his short illness.   He will be missed.

I'll never forget the fun that you, Phil Simpson, and I had the summer of 1963: Tennis, archery, and learning how to throw boomerangs at Boddington Park. Always loved your easy manner and sense of humor, and we are all going to miss you.

Corvettes

March 27, 2016

I was Russell neighbor in woodland park, I had previously worked with Russ some
30 years ago at Inmos. The first year he moved in across the street from me he would come over and admire my c5 corvette. It wasnt long after taking a ride in my vette he bought a c5 corvette also.  We both took rides in each others vettes but mine was faster. A year later he came over and said I want to show you something in the garage.  He opened the garage door and WOW their sits a brand new Stingray Corvette.  I said what made you decide to buy the Stingray.  He said I couldnt stand the thought of you having a faster vette than me and laughs!  So he lets me take his Stingray for a burn and all I could say was WOW what a machine and that I was jealous. Last year we both took our corvettes to the Cruise above the Clouds and It was fun watching Russ talk to the crowds of people about the special features of the New Stingray.  He will be missed!
