CHILDHOOD MEMORY
CHILDHOOD MEMORY
When we were kids Russell was very sneaky. He got away with it because of that smirky grin and contagious laughter he had. I remember one hot summer day I asked him to go to the store to get me a freeze pop. I wanted to eat something to cool me off because it was so hot that day. I gave him all the money I had left with hopes of getting some change back. Well he took so long I didn’t know what happened. He comes in the house and handed me an empty plastic wrapper. I asked him what happened to my freeze pop. He said it was so hot it melted. And he just busted out laughing. It was hot alright. It was his mouth. He ate it! I never asked him to go to the store for me again. Plus he never gave me my change back.
