His Life
January 9, 2015

Russell John Scott was born on August 7,1947 in Brooklyn, New York.  From a young age he became a baseball enthusiast not only playing at a high level on a traveling league but following his beloved Yankees who would remain his favorite team throughout his lifetime.

In 1965 he graduated from Bayside high school in Bayside New York then went on to serve his country in the United States Navy from 1966-1970. During that time he receive medals for his service in National Defense as well as his service in Vietnam.

After his service ended,  Russ went on to work for Reynolds Aluminum where he made many friends over his 27 year career. For enjoyment he spent as much time with his family as possible as well as enjoying some of his favorite activites such as camping, fishing and playing pool. He was fantastic at them all.

After retiring from Reynolds , he moved to Las Vegas Nevada. He will forever be remembered for his smile, kindness and laughter. To meet him was to love him. He lived every moment of his life. His motto was to " find something to smile and laugh about everyday".  To just be happy. And I truly hope he was ...as he made others happy each and every day. He often signed off as "The Nutty Irishman" so to that I hope you will raise a glass and toast our father.

Russ is survived by both his daughters...Dawn Patterson and Kim Scott as well as his  grandson Josh Easdon, his son in law Jerry Patterson and step grands and spouses Trey and Kelly Patterson, Stephanie Patterson and Joe and Jennifer Potts. He is also survived by his girlfriend Lore.

Those who welcome his heavenly arrival include his parents Raymond T. And Mary Scott as well as his brother Raymond J. Scott.
