Rusty,

I tried to find you online, man. I'm 37 years old now. This is the first time I ever found anything about you online. Your wisdom and your free-spirited-ness helped shape my personality into adulthood. You were one of the types of people I wanted to be when I grew up. I'm sad, man....I really wanted to catch up. No worries, man. You've been and will continue to be in my prayers. Rest easy, my friend. EIL was a life changing experience because of you, Man. Thank you, and god bless your family.

To Sue and Kris and all those who loved him, I am so sorry to hear about Rusty. I tried for years to find him on social with no luck. He was very special to me when we were kids. I remember the last time I saw him either during or right after college. We supported each other that night, as we were both struggling then. His words meant the world to me then, and I have never forgotten it. I wish I could have stayed in touch. He was such a good person, SO smart, and such a typical little boy back in the day. Rusty, Pete, TJ, Marshall…loved them all and still do. May you find peace. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I don't know what year it was, maybe around 2008. Rusty, Erv, Trip, Craig & I went down to Mazatlán for a long weekend. I had never been to Mexico before (except TJ). It was a blast...we boogie boarded every day and drank Pacifico's non-stop. I remember that Rusty put in our food orders everywhere we ate because he could speak Spanish so well. It was great hanging out with Rusty and everyone else that weekend. I hope there is a good TV up there so you can watch every Twinkies game forever! I will miss you Rusty! Steve T.
