Beloved mother, Ruth Mack Robinson Chewning, age 92, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019.

She was born on January 19th, 1927, in Springfield,  Massachusetts, to Mary Christie and Richard Mack Robinson. She was a direct descendant of Rev. John Robinson, minister to the Pilgrims. After attending Walnut Hill School she graduated from Smith College. She became a stewardess with Pan American World Airways where she met her husband John, who was a Pan Am pilot. They lived in New York and San Francisico before settling on Key Biscayne, Florida in 1955. She was active as a deacon at the Key Biscayne Community Church, and as a member of the Key Biscayne Women's Club, Garden Club, the Yacht Club Seabelles, the Smith College Club and World Wings International. She was a volunteer at Mercy Hospital for many years.

Ruth moved to Panama City Florida in 1998.

Ruth is survived by son Donald Chewning (Diane Batch), daughters Susan Ross and Amy Chewning, step daughter Lynn Metzger (Reinhart),  grandsons James Ross and John Ross (Tara), granddaughters Mary Schmidt (Darryl), Heather Metzger (Jack Miller), and Samantha Green, and great grandchildren Molly Ross, Jackson Ross, Charles Ross and Jane Ross.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, gifts be given in memory of Ruth to Paralyzed Veterans of America or a favorite charity.
Celebration of Life for Ruth Chewning will be Sunday, November 3rd, 2019
