Her Life

"Back down memory lane"

November 21, 2021
"Back down memory lane" by  Minnie Riperton is one of mum favorite tunes. I remember my mother galvanizing several cousins on a warm summer day down to the Jersey shore on an NJ Transit bus as she didn't drive at the time. Down to her last day on this earth, my mum was thinking about her family going to her big sister's birthday party and picking up other family members along the way, and helping a long-time friend cope with her cancer diagnosis. A  woman dearly loved loved loved her kids Inka & Cazzie and grandkids Elan and Anthony and many nieces and nephews.

A dear friend

Ruth and I had a twenty five years plus friendship.  She was one of the most kindest people I've known and as others have said she was willing to help anyone in need.  She was a selfless caretaker in her nursing profession always trying and giving quality care to her patients.  She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  She was my best friend.  Ruth, I will truly miss you.
