Ruth Dickerson Davis, 76 a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at Granville Medical Center.

A native of Granville County the daughter of the late Alfred Yancey and Trudy Mae Bollinger Dickerson.  She was a member of Peaces Chapel Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 26th, 2013 at Peaces Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Bruce Brooks.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter Linda D. Bowden of Quincey, Ill; three sisters; Annie Lee D. Lowery of Henderson, Nancy D. Strickland of Louisburg, Christine D. Davis of Stem, three brothers;  John Dickerson, A.Y. Dickerson and Linwood Dickerson all of Henderson and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Frances D. Dellinger and a brother Roy Lee Dickerson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 12:30 – 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service at Peaces Chapel Baptist Church and at other times at the home of Christine Robbins.
