Mom

November 17, 2015

On the 4th anniversary of her death I thought it would be a good idea to come up with a fun story.  I remember when I was 9 or 10, I wanted to be an astronaut. Mom was going to college at the time and taking a trigonometry course.  I used to help her study ... reading, quizzing and such.  One night I didn't want to help with trig and she said, "If you want to be an astronaut, you have to know trigonometry." Well, that got me.  Although the astronaut desire left soon after, I'm pretty sure those evening study sessions helped me out later on.  I still so admire her for going back to school and all that she did.

I was Ruth's hairdresser for 30 years or more. I always enjoyed spending time with her. I loved her dry sense of humor. She always made me laugh and I miss her as I know you also do. She loved my dog Abbie and would bring her little presents at  Christmas time. I enjoyed all her stories about her different cats she had especially her last cat Ben. She will be forever missed! You have my deepest symphathy. A good mother is a God given gift and you certainly had one.

Sincerely,

Joan Schneeberger
