Excellent cook

February 19, 2021
On this day, what would have been my moms 80th birthday, I am reminded of what a great cook she was. On cold winter’s days like today, my favorite meal of hers was pot roast and veggies. I still cannot make it the way she did.

Another favorite meal of mine was her shrimp newburg. I am going to make that this weekend in her honor.

Happy Birthday mom

Mom in the newspaper

February 19, 2020
Today would have been mom’s 79th birthday. I miss you every day. With each year that passes, when her birthday comes around - I try to remember what a great person she was - instead of the pain and loss we all still feel these years later. She was patient, respectful, religious, very kind, loved to laugh, always thinking of others before herself. To honor her, here is a newspaper article from the local paper many years ago. It showcases what she loved to share with the world, her artwork!  Mom, your talent was - and still is - an inspiration to me. Happy Birthday

Tony's College Graduation

September 17, 2016

Graduation day for Tony, May 12th, 1986 from Old Dominion University.  This photo was taken shortly after I'd received my diploma.  I can still remember how proud and happy my parents were for me, especailly considering some of the trying times I had during those four years.
