It will be the little things that we will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter.  And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. God ended his pain, sorrows and sufferings. To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.

The laughter and enthusiasm in Papa's eyes whenever Tiyo Buddy would visit Bicol is something I would miss together with Tiyo Buddy's being physically present. Since I was a kid, "Badong" was a name that I grew up hearing from my Mama and Papa's lips. They both love him so dearly and it both broke their hearts knowing that he will not be with us anymore anytime sooner.

Tiyo Badong was one epitome of an accomplished man, despite the constant complaint of myalgia that he gets from the couple of diseases he got to acquire while he was aging. He was so dear. I will be missing him singing tunes with Papa (the two of them I believe are the singers in the brood). I will be missing the proud smile he would give me everytime I tell him that I still go to Lung Center doing my duties as a nurse though I work for another field. (He once told me I should be one.) I will miss how he would thank me whenever he asks me simple favors. The way his voice sounds on the phone whenever he would call Tiya Lea requesting for some dishes. The sound of his laugh and how he would tell stories whenever he had the time to visit his brothers back in bicol.

He still have a lot of plans. But we all know everything happened for the better.

..I bet he was present during the wake..just being there, smiling at the view of everyone else who came and visited and probably still wearing that quiet smile he always presents to people.

 I bet he felt grateful seeing his two loving sisters, brothers and cousins talking together just like when they were little. I bet he was glad that his granddaughters were there full time. Bet he was awed to see the dela Cruz' being all out supportive. Probably more than happy to have another daughter in Pat's presence. Bet he was thankful that Kent grew up to be such a charming young man to have had more than enough friends to be there and comfort him, because he cant anymore..

..I bet he got teary eyed seeing Ate Leslie and Kuya Kliffe being a brother and sister again to each other. He might have shed tears of joy seeing Ate Karen and Ate Lorraine flying in from two different continents, just to be there and memorize the details of their dear Papa's face..

..I bet..he is happy. happiest even to be seeing his life--the six beautiful children he managed to raise well with Tiya Cynthia all complete and reunited.

..and I bet with his usual quiet smile, he thought to himself that he couldnt have asked for anything more. :))
