This memorial website was created in loving memory of Sam Brown; son, brother, nephew, and friend.  We encourage family and friends to express their love and share their stories, photos, and videos to commemorate Sam's life.  We will remember him forever. Sam was a wonderful person inside and out; smart, kind, funny, musical, magical, and will be missed by all of us.

A celebration of Sam's life will be held on February 6th, 2016 at Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City from 4-6pm.

We are asking loved ones, in lieu of flowers, to make a donation to a GoFundMe page to help support his family during this difficult time.  To make a donation go to https://www.gofundme.com/sam_brown.

Thank You

I did not know Sam very well and I don't think he knew me either but after hearing the news it left quite the impact on me. Seeing the the effect it had on others made me realize how important life is. His story gave me motivation to fight my own battle and keep my head up. Sam's memory will live on with those he has touched.

Susan and Nate, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Sam as a leader and helper on the ski bus - Great kid, beautiful young man. He touched many with his infectious smile. Sam will be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers go out to Sam's friends and family.

Sam was always well dressed in a button up shirt. He led by example and was always willing to take on tasks other students did not want to do. He brought a calm into the room when he entered. He will be missed dearly.

One of those kids where all he needed was the project and the materials , and off he would go, always creating something unique, and really fun to see. He had a little spark. It was a privilege to have him as an art student. Sadness at his loss , but will always remember Sam.

Sam was such a smart, funny and talented young man. The common thing I keep hearing when anyone talks about him, is his smile-and ability to share that smile with everyone he met. It is a rare person who can touch so many lives with joy and humor. I hope that we can all try to capture a small piece of that joyful spirit that shone so very brightly in Sam. Maybe if we all work a bit, to bring a smile to the world in the ready way that he did, his light will continue to shine within us. Sam, you will be sorely missed.

I always enjoyed watching Sam on the soccer field. He was a hard worker and everyone liked him. I couldn't help but notice how very handsome he was and always charming.:) I loved that his younger brother Nate was often at Sam's games and that really showed me how much Nate must have looked up to him. One couldn't help but pick up on his playful/ fun loving nature. A tribute to the person that Sam was can be noted by the incredible impact he had on so many in the short time he walked among us. Thinking of you and praying for your dear family.

I love watching Sam comming down the culdesac, always a big smile on his face, lighting up any day or situation. Waving and calling out to us from the street, greeting us with funny remarks that we could hear from any room in the house with doors and windows wide open on warm summer days. You did nothing but elevated us. We love you and we'll see you in heaven one day. Thank you for your blessings. I cherish everyone.

An incredibly vibrant and fun young man. I always looked forward to him coming in the door of my classroom. Truly one of the reasons I love teaching is getting to hang out with people like Sam. He will never be forgotten.

Our memories of Sam.......

One of the funniest sledding memories was when Sam sled down from Nip and Tuck. He couldn't stop and ploughed into the fir trees at the bottom of the hill. All of the snow on the trees dumped on him- we all laughed so much! We also would sled down from the top of the hill until we hit the corner and jump 4 feet in the air...we would laugh so much.

Sam had to make gushot noises on a video we were making while I was making fake blood to put on Nate. I took so long that Sam's tongue got tires and made these weird sounds.

Sam tried to teach me how to play his trumpet.

I remember while working in the yard I could hear Nate and Sam calling to Bella and Oscar. They would shout back and forth- this went on for some time. Then Sam, his smile and machete came out of the woods, trailed by Nate. They had made a pathway through the woods to avoid having to use the road!

When we played games- Sam would always win and I could never tell how.

I remember as they got older, Sam and Bella would hold deep conversations. Once they were in the back yard, Bella was painting her nails and Sam was holding the polish, whilst jabbering about something.

Sam was an extrordinary neighbor and friend. We were priviledged to have known him. He was larger than life- as was his smile. We will remember him with love, and he will always hold a special place in our hearts and minds xxx

I had the joy have babysitting and growing up next to Sam. I will always remember every single time I would try and leave their house, both Sam and Nate would run and hide my shoes. They did it because they never wanted me to leave and obviously I could leave with out my shoes! The joy and smiles Sam got out of that little prank always made my day! He was such a sweet young boy, with a kind heart, a great sense of humor and a ever lasting smile!

Sam you will be missed very much, and I am so thankful I got to grow up next door to you. You'll be in my heart and prayers. Love you bud.

The moment Alex and Sam laid eyes on each other in 1st grade, it was like they had found their other half.  They were both goofy and Sam brought out so much more in Alex.  There was always laughter and something fun going on when Sam was around.  He was so unique, smart and talented.  You just never knew what was going to happen next when Sam was around.  He was very loved by all who came in contact with him.  We will miss his shining, smiling face.  We love you Sam.
