Sammy Lee Harris, 53, of Gurley, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, at his residence.

He was born on Jan. 7, 1954, in Cullman to James Travis and Vasti Fausteen Paris Harris.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a sister-in-law, Sharyn Harris.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Laura J. Grace Harris; three daughters, Wendy (Johnathan) Abad, Kara Harvell and Angel Harris; four granddaughters, Rayvn Sullivan, Arealia Vega, Dezi Vega and Dalhia Rose Harvell; his mother, Fausteen Harris; a sister, Gail Harris Kenney; two brothers, Johnathan Harris and Jimmy Harris; a niece, Michelle Patrum; a nephew, Derrick Barton; and close friend, James Stidham.
