Sam was a happy child-- always smiling and laughing. Addiction took a hold of him in his teen years. In 2011, Sam moved to South Jersey to try and stay clean. He was clean for a year and a half before overdosing. This shows how powerful addictions can be. Our family spent wonderful times with him while he was clean and happy. He was a strong, independent man. We will never forget him and how hard he battled. Addiction is a horrible disease... hopefully Sam's story will help some keep fighting to stay clean.
