Wish you were here today, on your 65th birthday. You now have a 10 month old granddaughter, Tavin Sophia. Ben loves being her big brother. We took them to Belize for the winter holidays. Planning a summer trip to Oregon to visit their uncles. Our sons still live in Portland. Both are doing well, as is our daughter and her family.

Five years have passed. Ben is now in 1st grade, in a school for gifted children. Tara is back in college. Sam owns his own house in OR. Josh is in OR.
State Dept listed your death as a drowning. Some of your VT friends think you had assistance. I remember you saying your wife was tired of your illnesses. She benefitted financially from your death, so, it's a possibility.

Today you would have been 62. I am sad you never retired to Florida at age 55 as you wished. I just could not say 'yes' to your requests that I live with you in Florida. If, as you repeatedly told me, your 2nd wife wouldn't go, you should have made the move by yourself. If you had, you might still be fishing and visiting with all your friends who do live there. Love always and forever.

Three years ago today, a month after telling your daughter you were too sick to travel, you died while on a cruise. We have been told 2 different stories of how you died - your children wish they knew which one was true, for their medical history. Did you drown while snorkeling or was it a heart attack? Should I have said yes to your requests during the last year of your life?

Our children are doing very well. Grandson, Ben, is growing and learning at a rapid pace. Wish you could have loved and enjoyed your own biological children. Physically, mentally & emotionally abusing them with her counsel and guidance was the way you lost them. So sorry that you allowed her to come between you and your children.

We created 3 very lovely, intelligent children. I wish you had not been so jealous of them. They are wonderful adults. Your grandson is a joy to watch grow.

She was born June 17, 1940, in Montpelier, the daughter of Walter and Isabelle (Armington) Thompson. She attended school in Montpelier and Middlesex. Sandra became a “blushing bride” at the age of 73 when she wed Albert T. Cross on June 29, 2013. They enjoyed six years of companionship with one another in Jeffersonville. Sandra had worked in housekeeping at various businesses in central Vermont. She was best known as “Aunt Sandy” by the children of friends and family whom she cared for through the years.
