Sanchez Armendariz (Derrick) Green was born on September 3, 1966, to Mr. Willie J. Green and the late Mrs. Lillie M. Russell Green in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia.  On Friday, July 11, 2014, Derrick suddenly departed this life at his home in Decatur, Georgia.

At an early age, Derrick attended the Saint Paul A.M.E. Church of Hogansville until his family moved to Decatur, Georgia.  He was educated in the Dekalb County Public School System and graduated in 1986 from SouthwestDekalbHigh School.  Derrick went on to further his education by obtaining an Associate Degree in Business Accounting in 1988.  As the Information Age approached, Derrick acquired a desire to return to school and on October 3, 2012, he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Information Technology, Computer Network Management from WestwoodCollege.

Derrick was previously employed by H. B. Fuller Company as an Assembly Line Worker and Smith-Kline Laboratories as a Lab Technician.  He also operated his own home-based computer repair business.

Surviving is his loving father, Willie J. Green, Decatur, Georgia; Brothers-Richard (Deborah) Green of Ellenwood, Georgia and Ontony Green, Decatur, Georgia; one niece, D’Aundrea Green and one nephew, Quintin Green of Ellenwood, Georgia; his long time companion, Patricia Jones, Decatur, Georgia; his very best friend, Roger Adams, Stone Mountain, Georgia; eight uncles, ten aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends.
