Sandeep filled lives of people around him with cheer and bliss. He leaves a deep void in our friend circle which will be difficult to come to terms for rest of our lives. We promise to cherish all the memories and keep him alive in our hearts. A tribute from the bottom of our hearts to a friend who left earthly world but stays forever in our hearts and memories!

“Be water my friend” we all have heard these lines many time but Sandeep was living it. No matter who you are, what kind of personality you have, he has no problem to be your friend. You never have to behave or Change yourself for him, he will change himself for you. Just like water, doesn’t matter what kind of pot you are he will take shape accordingly and make you comfortable. He deeply touched our lives. My all time favorite person. You will be with us forever. Love you so much.

My dearest friend, what a privilege to have known you!

Thank you for genuinely caring for everyone that crossed your path, for bringing smiles to our faces, for all the amazing food you introduced me to, for that “one last game” of foosball, which never was of course and we all ended up playing for an extra hour.
Thank you for being the epitome of what kindness is and for showing us all how to truly live life.
Your larger than life, unique soul will stay with us all forever.

Listening to Sandeep's singing here is a rude shock to the fact that he has truly left too soon. I remember Sandeep's voice over the phone when we last spoke in early Jan 2021 and his signature start to the call with Mahwish ji. We were prepared to wish him adieu from Dubai..not forever! Rest in peace, Sandeep. You will always, always be remembered for your happy spirit, fun stories, and that charming smile. My sincerest condolences to the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sandeep,
It won't be justice to use 'was' for you. You are and will always remain with us. After all your name (Sandeep - Light) never fades and always spreads love, joy and energy, like you do among everyone around you.

You are a true motivation for everyone for the way you lived. Live life the king size as they say. Cheerful, colorful, joyful, energetic.....one would run out of adjectives to define your personality. Your contagious smile will forever remain with all your loved ones.

Thank you, Sandeepbhai, for reminding me to live and love each moment to its fullest.

Sandeep, We met almost to the day in 1989 in the elevator of 3 Greenway Plaza. me in my pretentious suit, and you in your, well, less said the better. If you had not started the conversation, I would have lost a lifelong friendship of 32 years, and counting and you are still with me.
To say that we were brothers from different mothers would be underselling. I recall when I went to the Hilton Hotel, Seoul about 15 or 16 years ago, checked in and took the elevator, got off on my floor turned left to go to my room, and I hear a loud desi voice "Annyeonghaseyo". that was you trying to make friends with a random person in the corridor. Totally random meeting, totally random time, random floor in a 20 story hotel, and we never knew we were even in the same city. Of course this happened again in Singapore. How can this be, if not for the fact that we have a cosmic link. Sorry sounds like a Bollywood movie, but hey I am in Mumbai, so Sandeep eat your Sandwizza and be quiet.
We started a cricket team together in 1989, you said BPatel, you captain and I will get the players. That was the start of Cavaliers Cricket Club (still going strong after 30 years). I wrote the weekly reports, and even today I am told that you were my favorite and I only praised you, well why not? You deserved it then and even more today.
You said BPatel, let's go bowling and we started Desi Rollers, with Naynesh/Anju, Manu, Bhavnabhabhi.
You supported our annual golf outings and today they are the envy of so many.
You got me started on trading stocks (can I have my money back please). Darn NUGT but hopefully SOL will make it even. You still have not taught me how to do covered calls.
We loved to gamble, but you still haven't taught me Craps.
You told me 10 years ago in Scotland, BPatel, just dance don't worry about others, and you created a monster. I can't help but get on stage no matter how bad I dance...luv it.
We still have unfinished business and need to play Pebble Beach, St. Andrews and so many more courses around the world.
You were always telling Bimal and myself, retire and do something different. But you can see from the above if you are not initiating, then I am not going to do.
Sandeep, Thank you for all you have done for me and I look to you for even more guidance as the years go on. Still need you my friend.
Stay blessed.

Manu and family, Neena, Veli, Lux, Trishna, Megna stay strong as Sandeep will never be far from you.

Saddened-shocked & speechless at the untimely passing away of our dear family member- and my buddy-Sandeepbhai Shah-Our youngest daughter-in-law-Veli’s Dad.
He touched the lives of everyone he met-building an instant connection, and flooring everyone with his energy, positive attitude and sprite! I will miss him sorely-the only one who called me “Navla Vevhaan” in his inimitable style! Sandeepbhai- we will miss you in person- but you will never be forgotten. We will feel your presence through your legacy of love, laughter and compassion. Sharing some pictures of indelible memories with you. Om Shanti

A winter evening in early 1986, I was approached by my friend Saidas Ranade , on the campus of University of Houston. He had a young shy , shiny haired, good-looking boy at his side. Saidas told me (paraphrasing) "This is Sandeep Shah. He is joining the Chemical Engineering Department at UH as a new international graduate student. Please help him get situated".

I took in Sandeep as my roommate and we were roommates for a year plus and friends since then. Sandeep went on to great success professionally and also as a wonderful garba/dandya dancer (something which stood out in my mind).

Sandeep, when I last had lunch with you at a Thai restaurant near the Dow Chemical office in Houston, little did I think that this sad event would come to pass.

Love you forever my dear friend. You leave us with memories of your bright smile, your sense of humor, your joie de vivre, and your kindness towards all.

May your dear wife, kids and other family members find the strength and solace in this time of great challenge
Aum Shanti

Sandeep (or Shahsa as I fondly called you from MWK days): never in my wildest dream did I ever think that I will be writing a “tribute” to you. I so desperately want this to be a bad dream that I wake up from. When I scroll through the history of our WhatsApp chats, I have to really suppress my urge to hit that call button - still thinking I will hear your enthusiasm filled voice at the other end. I will forever miss those “bore thatoto to chal tari thodi khapavu” calls and all the brainstorming and debates about lessons on living life.

We laughed at your “don’t let life pass you by” statement but it is ringing so so true now. While I will miss rooming with you on our trip and the snoring that came with it, I will cherish the memories from our trips and also the times spend in Wassenaar, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi and “in da house” in Dubai. You were the only one amongst my close circle of friends that visited me at every location we had a home and then you helped discover facets of that place that we would not have without you.

Till we meet again, we will live with the memories and the positive spirit you created since the last few decades for us. You will not believe that I would give anything to hear that snoring again on our golf trips but I know you are now too busy creating a party in heaven with eons of new friends that you would have already made there by now.
