SANDRA SPAIN BAKER, born May 31, 1952, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed peacefully, Saturday October 29, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father, James W. Spain, mother Florence N. Spain, and loving niece Kristie L. Spain. She is survived by her brother W. Doug Spain (Debbie), nephew Jason D. Spain (Carol), great niece Allie, her brother Joe N. Spain, sister Debra S. Hammond (Scott), nephew James D. Hammond (Erin) great nephews Elias, Brining, Lachlan, and great niece Nora Davis Hammond, nephew Jonathan S. Hammond (Ashley) great nieces Baylee and Charlee Hammond, her baby sister Rebecca S. Knox (Jody), niece Jessie A. Knox, nephew Justin M. Williford (Tara), great niece Chloe Belle, great nephews Landon Michael and Parker Knox, stepdaughter Brandy B. Ellard, and stepson Bradley E. Baker (Tracy), cousin Cyndi Welch (Tommy) caregiver, plus a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and dearest friends.
A memorial service will be held to honor our loving sister, Sandra, aka Aunt Sando, Saturday at 4pm, November 5, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Shannon, 206 Paden Avenue, Bessemer, AL 35022. The family will receive friends and family who would like to share fond memories, stories, and genuine love for our sorely missed sister. We truly love and appreciate each and every one that has prayed for us during this time. We find comfort in knowing she is in a better place rejoicing with Jesus.
