Sandie was my best friend when I moved to Bloomington after high school in 1965. She was my maid of honor when I got married Jan. 18, 1969 and will always remember her amazing smile. Sorry for her families' loss and that I am just now finding out about this. Obviously we lost touch when she moved to Texas but we had many wonderful times.

Sandie was a wonderful neighbor, devoted wife and mother, rescuer of "fluffy dogs", avid football fan and a gift of God. Over ice cream shakes, we shared Illinois memories. One of God's sweet blessings! Peggy Meeker and John Renola

I worked with Sandie for ten years at Mustang and besides having a working relationship, we came to be friends as well. She loved her family so much and she had a great sense of humor. We made many memories over the years and I will always cherish them. I know you fought a hard fight and are now pain free and enjoying the reunion of your family and friends already in heaven. My prayers go out to Peter, Aaron, Alicia and family.

I also remember that trip to Wisconsin with Kathy Blagg and Sandie in Sandie's new Chevy.  We all had a great time that trip.  I will always  remember the last time I saw Sandie. She came home to Lexington for a visit and was riding around
town with her brother, J. A.  Chuck and I had a good talk with them.  She was very
special.

I remember a trip taken with Sandie and Dee Ann Wiley Cole to Wisconsin way back when. Short trip, but a good time was had, lots of laughs. She was so much fun to be around. A very positive person, always smiling. Rest in peace dear friend!

Pretend Names

July 18, 2014

Sandie was a great friend all through school in Lexington, IL.  In high school Sandie, Kay Sutter, Joyce Sutter and I created "pretend names".  Sandie was Robyn, Kay was Arch and I was Summer.  I cannot remember what Joyce's name was.  We wrote notes back and forth during classes and managed to get caught numerous times but that didn't stop us.  Sandie was a lot of fun.  My heart goes out to all of you who loved her.
