I also remember that trip to Wisconsin with Kathy Blagg and Sandie in Sandie's new Chevy. We all had a great time that trip. I will always remember the last time I saw Sandie. She came home to Lexington for a visit and was riding around
town with her brother, J. A. Chuck and I had a good talk with them. She was very
special.
I remember a trip taken with Sandie and Dee Ann Wiley Cole to Wisconsin way back when. Short trip, but a good time was had, lots of laughs. She was so much fun to be around. A very positive person, always smiling. Rest in peace dear friend!
Pretend Names
Sandie was a great friend all through school in Lexington, IL. In high school Sandie, Kay Sutter, Joyce Sutter and I created "pretend names". Sandie was Robyn, Kay was Arch and I was Summer. I cannot remember what Joyce's name was. We wrote notes back and forth during classes and managed to get caught numerous times but that didn't stop us. Sandie was a lot of fun. My heart goes out to all of you who loved her.
A few years ago, Sandie and Peter were moving to a new home and asked if I needed a couch. When I went to pick up the furniture, Sandie took me aside and said, "I know what it's like to be a single parent. I know how tough it is to buy nice things. You deserve a little break. I have everything I need." What a sweet and giving lady. I will never forget her kindness that day.
