Dear Sandra, Kathie, Nancy, and I were in Joan's condo last night. Joan has surrounded herself with several of your decor items. They seem to help her to keep your love and memory alive. Kathie identified all of them with fondness, and her voice told us how much she still misses you. I, for one, miss your goofy smile, your sense of style, your desire to live life to the fullest, and your zesty enthusiasm for healthy food that most of the rest of us were happy not to share with you.

It is hard to believe that it has been a year since Sandra's passing. I continue to miss her smile, her sense of humor and friendship.

Raya, We only got to know your mom over the last couple of years, but in that time she found a way into our hearts. She was compassionate, witty, gentle, thoughtful, generous, and very funny…. the kind of person who makes every day just a little better. We will strive to keep her spirit in our hearts.

I have treasured the last 3 years as I have gotten to know Sandra. Her gentle and loving nature, humor, strength, care and support. I will miss our times together "just to visit", movies, walks, and "pet talk". She lovingly mentored my college student, Rima, supported my daughter, Kathleen (who wants to be just like her) and enriched my life so very much. I deeply miss her and like others, will always think of her when I see a rainbow. Raya, she spoke of you often, her love for you and all the wonderful times you had together.
May we all find peace in our memories of a truly beautiful woman.

What a classy lady!
Sandra, I'm so glad I got to know you. I'll remember fondly all our social activities with friends--plays and concerts and restaurants, and long walks (with me trying to keep up with you), and stops for martinis. I will miss you, and I do promise to think of you when I see a rainbow!

Sandra wants us to wear bright colors to her memorial service. Well, Sandra, I would have to raid your closet to do that. You always wore something fun, bold, and colorful, which put into sharp relief the lack of spice in my wardrobe. I'm going to miss your style, girl.

I feel privileged to have been introduced to Sandra through her family. She was like a light bulb, always bright and full of energy. She always had a new idea and was kind and helpful to anyone she met.
Her family has a big loss but she will still be looking over them in peace.

I am so sorry for this loss. I remember Sandra as Molly and Lourdene sweet Aunt that I had the pleasure of spending a little time with.
I know she was a strong , independent , loving , caring woman.
I hope she is at peace in Heaven

Sandra, so much to be said. So many memories to share. You made a major difference in my life. I’m so glad you came into it. We worked together, talked countless hours together, shared secrets, shared the best and the toughest moments of our life. Our children grew up together, we shared their success and challenges. We watched them find their life loves. And it all started from a hand written help wanted ad pinned to the bulletin board at Kroger in Marietta Georgia. Thanks for the hugs and the dances.

Sandra made just a huge impression in my life. She went from a cat sitter and dog walker to a very dear friend who will be sorely missed.
