Sandy, I can not express enough how much we loved you and will never forget you. We met you when you first started working in Rockledge and we followed you the rest of your career! You were an amazing veterinarian and helped us through more times than I can count. You were there as we cried and helped us make some of the hardest decisions of our life. Your compassion and love for your patients and their parents were just one of your many amazing qualities. Your encouraging words are we faced parenthood, getting health at Trinity, and more things than I can mention here just showed how much love you had for your friends! You will truly be missed, but never forgotten. Love - The Foxes

I knew her in vet school and reacquainted with her through Facebook these last few years. Sandy always smiled. Was always kind in school. When we reconnected, she was already dealing with cancer. She was very open about her new found faith in Jesus Christ. She said she couldn’t imagine going through her trial with Him. I’m thankful I got to know Chad and am thankful to have known Sandy. But I’m most thankful she is in Heaven today because of her faith in Christ. Chad, God Bless. Rocky

Sandy was a beautiful soul & a fun and caring friend. Her smile was contagious. I met Sandy at Trinity fitness and we spent many a day at workouts together. She played bunco with me and we had a regular Friday night date with our large group of friends. Joey & I have great memories of lots of good times with Sandy and will miss her tremendously. I can’t say enough good things about this very special lady! Rest In Peace my dear friend.

a wonderful person a super vet (to both my kitties) really thought she would make it. this is such a loss to all. I will miss her terribly and so will my Heidi kitty . Her smile just lit up the room. She always had time to address my many questions about kitty and I always felt that she made the vet visits really special. She was so gentle with my diabetic kitty, and Heidi never hissed at her!!! A truly compassionate caring lady. . So hard to go to Viera Vet and know she is not there.

Lew and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. We met Sandy through Kevin Oppenheimer and remember her fondly. She was always kind, loving and fun to be around. I posted a few photos of Sandy at our wedding in 1998. She was such a beautiful person - inside and out.

Sandy was such a sweet soul! She took such great care of our boys Teddy & Panda. She made us feel like they were the only ones she cared for. We will miss her smiling face. Our thoughts & prayers go out to her family & friends. With deepest sympathy - Charles, Ana, Teddy & Panda RIP

I will always remember how caring and compassionate Dr Helpling was with all of my animals over the last 18 years. One particular time comes to my mind. We had to bring our dog Zippy in for his final visit before crossing the Rainbow Bridge. Dr Helpling was right there with us as we said our final goodbye to our beloved pet. We had him cremated and she went out of her way to get me a mini “urn” that had some ashes of my sweet Zippy in it for me to hang on the rear view mirror of my car so that I would always have a piece of him with me. I will always remember that one small act of kindness that she went out of her way to do for me to ease my pain just a little. I will never ever forget that. Nor will I ever forget her or her sweet smile. Rest easy Dr. Helpling. I’m sure that all of the Carreiro fur babies that you cared for are happy to have you in Heaven. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
