Her Life

Mrs. Sarah Jane Bynum was born to the late great Mr. Eddie & Corrine Tennie. She was the second oldest child of nine. She joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, but occasionally attended Second Mount Vernon Baptist Church, where she served on the usher and mother board.

 Mrs. Sarah was married to the late Henry Bynum Jr. who preceded her in death and she was  greatly skilled at cooking and sewing. She was known as “Mama Sarah” to everybody. She received her angel wings and departed this life  on February 27, 2012 in Carrollton County.

Mrs. Sarah Bynum is also preceded in death by her only daughter, Carolyn Bynum.

She Leaves to cherish her memories: Sons, Mr. Curtis Forston, Mr. Sylvester Bynum (Sharon); seven  sisters, Emma Lou Woods (Willie), Jessie Lou Murrah (Edwards), Christine Nelson (James), Edna Pearl Tennie, Joanne Cleckler (Paul), Betty Tennie,  Tommie Lou Tennie; brothers, Willie Lee Tennie and George Tennie; Grandchildren, DeMarco Hollands (Rei), Raphael Carter, Jesse Dowdell Jr., Monique Brown (Robert), Keshia Thompson, Sequiala McDonald and Lil Sabrina Parks;  two devoted friends, Rose Truitt and Nancy; and a host of nieces, nephews,relatives, and friends.
