This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Sarah Dorsey 62 years old , born on November 27, 1956 and passed away on November 13, 2019. We will remember her forever.

Sarah departed this life unexpectedly while she was a resident at Mary Scott Nursing Center where she was greatly loved and cared for. Sarah confessed her life to Christ and was baptized April 8, 1973 and became an active member of Freewill PB church. Sarah was a student of both Dunbar and Belmont High Schools where she excelled academically and athletically. She was well known for her love of music from Elvis Pressley to Minnie Ripperton and Shirley Ceasar. Sarah fondly enjoyed singing and would always have a smile and some laughter for you. One of Sarah’s special songs to sing was “Peace in the Midst of the Storm”.
Sarah had her routine that most became familiar with: Tuesday was Church’s chicken day, she loved to attend bingo with friends looking to win at least once, smoking on the patio, and returning to take a afternoon nap.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents J.B. Sr. and Everleaner Dorsey, Brothers Leroy, J.B. Jr., and Fred. She leaves behind many sweet memories of moments shared with her brother and sisters: Evelyn (Paul) Mathis, Helen (Chris) Johnson, MaryAnn Powell, Susan (Aaron) Barnett, one aunt Annie Sue Owens (Chattanooga, TN) and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. We cannot leave out her Mary Scott Nursing Center family, who cared for her so dearly.
Sarah leaves us with the memories of her contagious smile and infectious laughter that will remain in our hearts forever!!
