Dear Giri Uncle, Baba and Priya,
We were all so sad to hear about Saroja Auntie's passing. This struck us hard, especially after our own mom, Saraswathi, passed away a short two months ago. Saroja was a kind and generous soul. We all remember how she selflessly opened up her home to the community in Broadmooor on Sundays for Balvikas and then joyous singing in the afternoon. It was from her that we learned how love, faith and spirituality could be found and respected in many ways. Our deepest condolences to all of you; may her soul rest in peace. Sai Ram.

With love, Shanti, Gita, Vasu and Venkatraman.

I will always remember Saroja’s smiling face as she eases into a conversation enquiring all about me and family since our last meeting. She makes it a point to enquire about each person in the extended family and their whereabouts. This was something special about her.

As a kid, I use to remember her visiting us with their family. We admired her as a role model having settled in the States since the mid-sixties and managed her career and other social responsibilities with amazing ease. I had met her couple of times at her mother’s (my aunt) place at Chennai. Being an ardent devotee of Sathya Sai Baba, she always shares her experiences about the commune and her small contribution to the organisation. She travels often to India and looked after her parent’s welfare till their last days. She touched many as part of her journey. She will be missed by all of us.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Giri, Priya and Navin (Baba) and family.
May God rest your soul in peace.

Sairam! Prayers that our beloved Saroja is enfolded in eternal divine love and peace. Prayers for God's comforting healing love for dear Giri, Priya, Baba, and the family.

I first met Saroja and Giri in their home in 1976, a time when Sai centers were forming in the US. We had the joy of joining together in these activities and remained friends through the years.
The last time I saw beautiful Saroja was in Kulwant Hall in 2008, I'm so grateful we stayed in touch. Most of all Saroja was a true blessing in my life.

My condolences to Giri uncle, Priya didi, and Baba. Auntie was my spiritual guide and I was extremely blessed to have her in my life. My early years under her tutelage shaped my whole perspective on faith and how I should live my life. I am deeply saddened by her passing but I often hear her teachings in my mind. She will always be a part of my heart.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to the entire Girishankar family during this difficult and devastating time. We did not have the pleasure of meeting Navin's mom in person but due to Navin's great character of loyalty, integrity, kindness, dedication and selflessness, we can only imagine the love, values and care his beloved mother instilled in him. To lose the shining light of the family, a wife, mother, grandmother, who was a selfless, caring and accomplished woman is unexplainable. May her soul rest in perfect peace. -The Ofori-Atta family

So, so saddened to learn about Mrs. Girishanker’s passing. I am grateful for the few times I shared with her and listened to her conversations and for the warmth she shared when we visited her home. I will always remember her as Baba’s brilliant and beloved mother - a strong and warm woman. God’s grace be with you Baba and your family.

I am so sadden to have found the news of Saroja’s passing. For family and friends, Saroja and I worked together very early on in our careers when she was a reporter. She documented the creation of the internet with her stories.  She was always so sweet, caring, sharp, focused, intelligent, and eager to learn. Her laugh was contagious, her smile was warm and her personality bright. She was a wonderful person and I surely will miss her.  My deepest condolences to her family.

Saroja was a more an elder sister to me than a cousin and we share loads of childhood memories from Trivandrum days when she , with Chithi and Chithappa used to come for summer vacations...
She treated me with so much affection, empathy and care all along... I will miss it now on very much... She had a special place for my mother ( Kittamma for her) in her heart and we used to have often long conversations over phone about those fun days which she always cherished .
I cannot believe that she is no longer there..
I can understand how Giri and children are going to miss her.
Her devotion to Swami was so staunch she would have reached His lotus feet and be resting with Him.
She will have a special place in our memories.
OM SAIRAM.... OM SHANTHI...

i have known Saroja for over three decades . She had been a loving kind affectionate and fiercely loyal friend and a force to reckon with in the industry . As a eminent journalist she covered technical and visionary topics with industry titans . More recently Saroja was instrumental in driving the “making of Arista “ booklet in record time for our 2019 NYSE celebration. Saroja - i know you are leaving a huge void in the industry and family . My condolences to Giri Navin and Priya . I really miss you and our chats on wide ranging topics interspersed with tamil one- liners . i know you will be guiding us from above and I will cherish our memories.
