I really wish we had some videos or pictures of our playing basketball on the trampoline in the backyard...I can't believe we didn't have any broken arms or wrists! Way too much fun...and dangerous...we were invincible...

Or the beach trip where we were throwing football in the backyard of the house where we were staying...Madison Currin threw the pass, Scott made a cut...but plowed right into a tree full speed with his shoulder...oh my...so hard not to laugh...good times...

Your memory will forever be remembered.  The candle will always burn in the hearts of those who knew you personally and the ones like my family that know you through your precious family.  We will all meet you in Heaven.

Dearest Scott, with the help and prayers of your parents Peggy and Larry, your sister Kim, my family continue to find a way to honor you and my son, Ricky and daughter Toni. I can only imagine the three of you laughing and singing today with the celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. I have been blessed to share the celebrations at the cemetery and this coming year, I will be moving my husband, son and daughter to join you. I believe the promises that neither of you have no more sorrow, no more tears and look forward to the day both your family and mine will rejoice together once again as united families. Mary Cordrey

I was looking through pictures of you and found myself wondering whaT you would look like at 40. I miss and love u cousin! Time really does fly by!
18 years ago today I got off a plane and all of our worlds changed! I look forward to the day we are all reunited in Gofs house! Love you Scott!!!

I am late to wish you your big 40 birthday. We was out of town and I did not have a computer with us. We still love you and think of you so often. That hurt will never go away, it still hurts so much. I caught myself so often thinking of things I wish you was here to see and do. First of this week we was on vacation with Kim, Mark and the grandkids. They are my life now. You would love them, Jerrit, Erin, and Camden. I can see you in all of them. My dearest Scott,
I never had the opportunity to meet you in person but I will have the opportunity to meet you in Heaven. The people I have met is your wonderful mother and father, your sister and her beautiful family. My granddaughter Tara plays with your niece and nephews. What a joy their friendship has brought to my life. I too lost a child, my precious daughter that left us much to soon. She left behind two wonderful sons that go forward everything to further educations that would make her proud and hopefully through their choice of education will help other people. Your family has given me hope to fight the good fight and continue on with life the best I can. I pray that I can add some good to their lives in repayment for what they have added to mine. I don't think anyone should have opinions until they have walked the tragedy of losing a precious child. It leaves a hole in our very souls that only recognition and faith that would day God will fill that with the reconnection with our child. The solace is knowing you are safe and whole resting in the magnitude of our Heaven Home. I promise you never will your memory be forgotten. I live your memory through your precious family.

Scott was one of my best friends in high school. We did quite a bit together...playing basketball on his trampoline breaking a few goals and can't believe we didn't break any arms or legs (sorry Mrs. Peggy), lots of youth group stuff together with church...Kerr lake when it poured down rain and had to go back to Butner...several beach trips w/ youth group, even when Scott ran into the tree playing football (Madison was playing quarterback, it's his fault, ha, ha). Scott's funeral was the very first funeral I helped my dad with. Still hard to believe he's gone.

Scott was my cousin and friend. Losing him was the most tragic event in my life. He was the light that lite up a room. He was always smiling and laughing. God really made him extra special. I miss him, but know I will see him again.
